Hi there, I’m Sara
And as you’ll hear in Session One, I’m a Mum and I work as a Clinical Nutritionist.
I hold a Bachelor’s qualification in Health Science, majoring in Nutritional Medicine, and am a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA).
Currently, my work is centered around the potentially pivotal foundations of general health.
I’m passionate about helping people understand how potentially impactful our everyday meals and lifestyle can be for our health. I’m also fascinated by the in-depth and specific side of nutritional biochemistry, and how by having a nuanced appreciation of the application of this science, we can aim to assist people with their ailments.
My interest in both the simple and the complicated has, in part, led to the development of the Whole Food Wellness courses, with the Mums & Bubs course being the first offering. As our health journey begins so early on in life, where better to start, than at the beginning?
Outside of my working role, you’ll find me doing all things ‘Mum’, as well as reveling in the spectacular nature of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, op shopping, and putting up with my Husband’s terrible Dad jokes.
I love the idea of a thriving veggie garden and the notion of home baking and cooking, but the reality is, that I don’t have a green thumb, and although one of my passions is Clinical Nutrition, I don’t bake or cook for fun. Apparently you should follow the recipe!
One of my favourite questions is “why?”, as I love to understand systems and processes from a practical perspective; especially for things like our health. And because nutrition can often have a role in many health presentations, I’m fascinated in understanding the “hows” and the “whys” for each individual person.
My hope for the Whole Food Wellness courses, is that they ignite an interest and an appreciation for the complex and nuanced application of food, and that by delivering long-form, narrated content (supported by science and research), I can aim to facilitate a more wholesome approach to wellness.
One that appreciates the beauty in the long way round.
Get in touch
Because health is such a complex, nuanced field, it’s understandable that you may have a few questions prior to enrolling in a program. You are always welcome to email me and I will aim to get back to you with 48 hours.
Please be mindful that, as a Mum, our best laid plans sometimes get thrown, so although I will endeavour to respond to your query in a timely manner, your patience and understanding is appreciated if this time frame get extended.
